In Ghana, entertainment is everything for the citizens. We use humor and fun to get a lot of life’s issues off our backs. The entertainment industry is full of amazing personalities who not only thrill us but leave an indelible mark in our society.
This pandemic period has left most of us without much hope and faith in the future. The only thing keeping most people sane is the arts and entertainment. With the influx of various social networking sites in the country, there has never been a dull moment for the vast audience the industry has. Even the traditional media uses social media in order to reach a wider audience.
Here are a few celebrities who have shown us that with social media, even coronavirus can take a seat at the back.
Deloris Frimpong Manso (Delay)
If you’re in Ghana, this woman does not come as a stranger to you. We love her to bits and for what she does with the Delay Show, we can only doff our hats to her. She has thrilled her audience time without number with her incredible interviews and for that she comes on top of our list as the most entertaining personality during the pandemic period. No wonder she picked up so many awards this year for her remarkable impact in the entertainment and entrepreneurial space.
Nana Ama McBrown
From McBrown’s Kitchen to Madam Hisense and now United Showbiz, McBrown has proved beyond doubt that she’s a born entertainer and a wonderful presenter. Her versatility and flair on the job is very commendable. Her show on UTV keeps everyone glued to their seats on Saturday evenings and has made various headlines this year, and for that we applaud her.
Nana Aba Anamoah
This happy-go-lucky lady is a whole vibe and you know it. Her birthday present saga wanted to take her shine but it gave us all something to talk about (at least). Then again, she’s chalked some successes with grooming the Next TV Stars and her street hawker friend, among other admirable impact she has created with her role as CEO of GhOne TV. Everyone needs a Nana Aba in their lives.
Lydia Forson
Now to one of the most entertaining TikTok stars, Lydia. She is incredible at what she does. And she has done this so well that she got nominated by the People’s Choice Awards in the African Social Star category. She also took us on an amazing ride during this year’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant. Lydia has stayed relevant amid the pandemic and we love her for that.
Nadia Buari
Here’s another beautiful and smart lady who has done so well for Ghanaians and for herself this year. If you’re on TikTok you probably have seen her videos. This pandemic was never boring because of her and we are pleased to have followed her every move. And oh! Lest I forget, she’s graced our screens with some of the most charming photos and videos so far, especially the ones she’s had featuring her adorable daughter.
