Hello lovelies, it’s me again coming to you from my cave. My new role has me in Hibernation but I’m back again from this hiatus. Several things have happened in my home country and I have been closely observing. Part of my job requirements expects that I write letters to sponsors, and so there again I am into writing. I love to write but never thought I would take it a notch higher. Forget chatgpt when the storytelling is good, the reader definitely knows it’s not from AI.

Attention grabber

This is where AI can fail you. To grab the reader’s attention,you need a hook. This is where most writers may fail. Ever wondered why some books are not putdownable? Yes, your guess is as good as mine. This is because they have great hooks. So bear me out when my supervisor reminds me of a hook and I am not here to give you more updates of things going on around the world.

Introductions

This may follow the hook or may be ignored. But there’s a way to introduce the story before the main description that may not necessarily grab attention but introduce the main topic. An introduction provides context or background so the reader knows what to expect and why it matters. It signals whether the piece will be serious, humorous, suspenseful, or informative.

Description

The body of letters are a sum total of all the wonderful things you want to tell your reader apart from the attention grabbers or the introductions. You may run out of attention grabbers, but you cannot forget the message you want to convey to the reader. It is like the gossip of the town. That message never leaves your head until it’s finally told.

Storytelling

Following the storytelling guide and scripts that have been put together is surely helping out. That’s how come I know storytelling is never leaving me. I was once asked how I keep up with story ideas and I can only confess that the guidelines may be enormous however, the one trait that never leaves the writer is the ability to tell stories that never leaves the readers’ minds.
