The just ended 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz saw many schools competing for the enviable trophy and bragging rights. Amongst all the fun and thrills was the fact that this year had a female participant at the grand finale of the competition.

Francisca Lamini has been on the lips of many after she emerged as the only young woman on the team for her school, Keta Senior High Technical School.

According to the young wizkid, it has been her childhood dream since Junior High School to participate in the National Science and Maths Quiz.

She has become a national icon for following her dreams and participating in the competition, leading her school to place third on their first time at the final stage of the competition. Although her school placed third, Francisca emerged as the competition’s most outstanding female participant.

The response to Francisca’s achievement has been phenomenal as she has had many cash prizes and awards from various and individuals and stakeholders.

Her exceptional display of academic prowess led her to attain 8As after sitting for NOV/DEC in SHS two. Francisca has made herself and her school proud for being the first female in the past eight years to sit in the grand finale of the competition.

Her performance and participation in this year’s competition is a huge feat which is very admirable and commendable for all girls her age.
