Dr Musawenkosi Donia Saurombe is a 26-year-old inspirational trailblazing Zimbabwean and an award winning Academic, Psychologist, Researcher and Keynote Speaker. In 2017, at age 23, she became the youngest female PhD Graduate in Africa after graduating with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial Psychology, from the North-West University – Mafikeng, in South Africa.
She was born in Zimbabwe, raised in Botswana and currently resides in South Africa.
Her PhD thesis passed without corrections and focused on The Management perspectives on a talent value proposition for academic staff in a South African Higher Education Institution.
Dr Musawenkosi started her university studies with a BCom at the age of 16 which she completed at 19. Leading to her postgraduate studies, she received her Honours and Master’s degrees with distinctions at the age of 20 and 21 respectively.
She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Free State where she lectures 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate courses in Industrial Psychology. The young trailblazer has 12 research publications. She has also represented South Africa at the BRICS Youth Summit.
