There are several ways one can change the world without having to join any of the international organizations. Many are waiting for jobs with the UN, AU, WTO, among others, before they can cause an impact in their communities.

Leading change is about making sacrifices for people against one’s will and comfort. Whatever you can give to others despite your personal struggles shows your commitment to making impact. Sacrificing your time, money and resources is one of the key tenets you’ll need as a community leader.

Donations

Several of the international organizations are all about doing good and creating awareness for global impact. If you can organize resources for donations to deprived communities and marginalized groups, you are on the path of creating positive change as a community leader.

Teach

Through compassion, you can teach and train others to equip themselves with skills sets for the betterment of their future. Leading a community requires us to be teachable as well as be able to impact knowledge into other people.

Mentoring

Mentors help others to become better people. If you’re good at mentoring, perhaps it’s about time you got several mentees who can glean from your expertise. Change makers are great mentors.
