2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) contestant from Keta Senior High School, Miss Francisca Lamini has gained admission to Harvard University as a pre-med student.
The NSMQ Twitter page announced the news of her admission on Wednesday, 6th April, 2022.
“Congratulations to our very own Francisca Lamini on her admission to The Harvard Medical School. We are proud of your achievements,” the announcement read.
However further on further probing and questioning, the NSMQ team has come out with a latest update explaining that, “Correction: Francisca has gained admission to Harvard University for her pre-med degree. We appreciate all your congratulatory messages for her.”
According to sources, the journey to Harvard University started when a team of high end executive business women had a meeting with Francisca after her NSMQ appearance and excellent performance. In a bid to help the young woman achieve her dreams of pursuing medicine, they mentored her to write and pass series of exams while starting her application process which has finally landed her an admission into the prestigious Ivy League school.
Lamini was declared the most outstanding Female contestant at the 2021 NSMQ owing to her brilliant performance. Francisca scored 8A’s in her Nov/Dec and another 8A’s in her WASSCE exams.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Ghana in a congratulatory message announced yesterday that, “It was great having the young, intelligent Francisca Lamini at the secretariat earlier today before she leaves for her studies at the prestigious Harvard Medical School.”
