Yummies, lovelies, sweeties, welcome once again. Today has been calm but power packed on my side. How about your side? I trust all is well right where you are. The year is ending and all things are coming to a close. Workers are going on break just as students are taking their break from school. Whew! What a year it has been. You know as the year rounds up, the ‘borgas’ will be trooping in right? Yes! It’s Detty December y’all. Incase, you forgot due to workload, well snap off it! It’s party time! And here are a few tips for those who will be traveling into and outside of the country.
Planning
First things first, planning your next trip is as crucial as the event itself. Once you are able to schedule the day of travel and put plans in place for your travel itinerary, you are good to go. Travel plans also help you pack up the essential clothing and items for your trip while helping you space out your time for the events ahead.
Budgeting
You need to have a budget that will cover the cost of your travel. How much you will spend on gifts and artefacts, for instance, is very necessary to jot down. Will you have a host? Then that may cover your hotel cost. Place priority on mode of transportation while focusing on the increase in fares. Either you chose a round trip ticket or a one way one, the price of travel fares can either hit you or inspire your travel.
Accomodations
Book for hotels ahead of time or else your preferred choice may be reserved faster than you know it. Always remember to inform your host ahead of time to avoid disappointment or further embarrassment on arrival. Looking for a place to lay your head while on tour is very important if you will enjoy your trip. Lots of people get stranded because they fail to plan this all important part of their tourism expedition.
Events/trips
Having your travel itinerary helps you know which events you will be attending and which ones to cancel. While on tour, you may be lured into going to places that you may not have budgeted or planned for. This may affect your financial plans and so taking that into consideration is very vital. Let your tour guide know when he or she insists you visit places that you have no interest in seeing. Sometimes you also need to consider safety first.
Return/Exit
Having an exit strategy is always very necessary. Are you leaving by plane or the bus? Do you have to check out of an hotel? Is your host trying to delay you from catching your flight? Leaving a trip is not always fun but all important. Plan how you want to leave. Sometimes giving your host a ‘thank you’ gift is a sure way to leave with a hope of returning again and having their space reserved for you.
