It’s been a wonderful one day rest as I was not able to post yesterday. Welcome back to my blog dearies. The elections are over, everyone is on reset. The days before us are numbered. No time to give time. Man’s not hot (in Micheal Dapaah’s voice). I can see King Sark already dropped a banger for us to enjoy the Christmas with. If you haven’t heard it, go check out “No sir” on all music streaming platforms. Let’s delve straight into today’s post. Shall we?
Trolls
These youngies don’t have respect again. I could not keep myself from laughing when this shop attendant kept blasting all the troll sounds against the incumbent government on her JBL music player. I asked her if she was of voting age and she replied in the affirmative. She did vote. I was lost in thoughts. And whose shop is she playing these tracks and troll sounds at. I hope he or she is not on the losing end or else someone may be losing her job real quick. Laughing out loud.
Transitions
It was nice to watch the two leaders on both sides come together in a congratulatory mood to introduce their transition teams yesterday. I don’t want to talk about it too much but yes, life is lived in transitions. From a baby to a toddler, one becomes a teenager. And then there is adulthood and old age. Such is life. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose. That is the beauty of been alive anyway. Anyone who does not know this is probably now starting out in life.
Timing
Talk of women representation and I am all for it. Wow! What a time to be alive. We have the first woman Vice President and it’s only beautiful to celebrate. Times have changed, women in decision making process is right before us. We have also been promised a Women’s Development Bank. Brilliant! We are in dire times however, these policies seem to be so much to look forward to. Years gone by, this would have just been a dream to wake up from.
Yenko
“Yenko” in twi means let’s go. In Ga, we say “Chalewote”. Let’s put on our working gear and work collectively for a united Ghana. It’s time for us to work as the new government has already proposed. Hopefully, the economy will be working 24/7 as promised. There will be no stone left unturned. No youth falling in the bracket of the working class shall say they are unemployed or have no work to do. According to the president elect, everyone will have something doing in the new eight hour shift economy. As it stands, I can only replay King Paluta’s Aseda because Mama we made it!
