Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times. – G. Michael Hopf
I believe in routines, especially morning routines. This sets you up for the day. How well your morning routine is planned reflects on how productive your whole day will go. Prayers, brushing your teeth, exercises, breakfast, and journaling. Whatever your routine is, you need to have done this over and over again for it have become a routine.
Starting out
Keeping a routine may seem easy sometimes but the hardest part is starting out. From reading to exercising, and even to keeping a healthy diet. All these good stuff are sometimes hard to start and to accomplish. However, people with success and productivity in mind will always stick to a routine. So imagine if you just start out your day without any plans. Definitely your day will just pass away without any significant progress.
Planning
The art of staying awake is not for everyone. Great people are alert every time and take notes of whatever goes on throughout their day. A great way to start a routine is to plan. Plan out how each day should go and set out to achieve your daily goals. Mind you, short term goals are easily achievable. Start with minimum days to achieving your daily goals, then you can extend the time and days after your routine begin to pick up.
Feel good music
One setback to keeping routines are emergencies and busy schedules. Remind yourself daily why you set out to do what you do and always go back to finishing your desired goals. Something that can help out is to organize a playlist of what I call Feel Good music. This list of songs will give you the inspiration and the energy required to finish off your routine especially when it comes to exercising and journaling.
Exercise factor
Morning exercise have so far been my favorite form of exercise because it gets me supercharged for the day. We do not always wake up feeling motivated to work and so exercises sort of keeps the soul burning with the desire to achieve greater results. If you’re not a morning person, perhaps you should inculcate some form of exercise routine into your mornings. This has proven to be helpful for many people who struggle to put their day in order.
Breaking the fast
Breakfast is always a good start for your digestive system. Smoothies or porridges are great at this time of the day as you want to go light on your organs. Another secret I have learnt lately is to gobble down some water before the day starts. This helps you to restore lost amounts of water during the nighttime. You can also use some of this time to write a journal or to start a blog. You’ll thank me later.
As always, I hope this piece helped you to map out how your morning routine should go. A routine is not all that bad if you stick to your goals and do a checklist of all you need achieved by the day. Also you need to aim at letting your desired results motivate you to keep working on yourself each day. That way, you will not be quitting on your routine anytime soon. All the best.
