It’s already five years since my blog went live and started sharing beautiful stories with you all and the journey has been amazing.
So here’s five lessons learnt as a blogger/writer:
Your audience may be silent but are reading
Often times, as a writer, feedback is what fuels your drive to keep writing. But when the readers are silent it may mean you have to keep at it until they get the message.
Writing for a blog needs consistency
I will not be here and pretend that I have been 100% consistent but I know the power of consistency and that is what I am going to give my readers this year.
Defining your niche
This is something that I found difficult to define. I am still working on crafting the best niche possible but I basically do lifestyle blogging these days. Many times people inboxed me to promote their music and events for them but I had to decline since that wasn’t my focus.
Your audience will reward you at the right time
I had other blogspot.com and wordpress.com accounts that I had been working on before going live on www.justicaanima.com and at the right time, when I needed support to amass votes for a competition that I was part of, you guys showed me love and I eventually won. And I am grateful for the tribe I have her
Stay true to your audience
I find time to share authentic stories because I get people who call to check on me when I am a bit down and that is the kind of relationship I hope to keep maintaining with my readers.
On to the next 5 years of sharing real and relatable stories on personal/career growth and social impact. Cheers!
