That’s how I know if you are learning from my content creation series. So far, we have discussed various tools and skills you need to be able to create content that attract audiences. If you have really been following, in the previous post, we explored some digital tools that can help you craft unique content. Today, we will talk about various niches and how to carve a niche for yourself.

Choosing a niche

Your niche can be built gradually or it can be chosen right from the start. You realize that even if you juggle a lot of niches together because you are unsure which one to venture in, you will still have a particular kind of content that you are drawn to. This is how you begin to specialize and choose a particular content that drives your passion. Need I say more?

Lifestyle

This niche market is an umbrella for all the health and fitness, daily habits, fashion, and travel blogs or vlogs. Creation content on lifestyle tips and day to day activities are now in vogue. It can help you develop a unique niche to help more people learn about tips such as time management or the healing process. Content with topics such as, travel, mom, relationship, and fitness tips, are all examples of lifestyle content and anyone can easily learn to create content around these topics.

Entertainment

Comedy, satire, pop culture, skits, all fall under entertainment content. Entertainment blogs, for instance, mostly focus on celebrities, gossips and rumors. The most popular blogs and YouTube channels are the entertainment ones. If you like attending and covering events, you can decide to pitch your tent in this niche. Those who like giving the hottest gists on celebrities are also free to venture into this niche market in content creation.

Personal development

Content which discusses personal growth and finance is another great niche that content creators are cashing out from. Wealth creation and career growth is important for everyone and so creating content around those topics generally attract audiences and traffic to your channel or blogs.

Economics

Politics and economic growth is necessary for our existence. Previously, magazine editors were making lots of money from political content. It goes to show how blogs and websites that provide audiences with readily available information on the stock exchange, market trends, economic policies, and political happenings, are gaining a lot of traction for the content they put out there. Therefore, if you’re well versed in this niche market, what are you waiting for? This could be your time to create content that sells.

There are several other niche markets one can consider in order to be an authority in the content marketing world. If you are a professional in a particular field, you can create content to educate on professional ethics and give advice on some frequently asked questions. My favorite Nigerian content creator who creates educational health content on some pertinent health conditions is Aproko Doctor.

In Ghana, creators like Wode Maya, Anita Akuffo, KalyJay, Kwadwo Sheldon, Ahoufe Patricia, Wesley Kesse, just to mention a few, are all influencer marketers creating amazing content for brands. It’s about time you took your content creation to the next level!
