We are almost getting to the close on this series and I am so glad to have taken you through my content creation process;sharing is indeed caring. I know this is the best time to share my journey with you all as a way to appreciate your loyalty. Previously, we discussed how to schedule your content and why the draft box is every creator’s companion. In today’s episode, we look at the need for content marketing if you want your content to make you some money. Are you ready? Let’s roll…
Share
After all is said and done, your content needs to reach other people. After you have clicked on publish, your content is no longer yours, but for public consumption. This is where some content creators begin to either freak out or get fired up. Whichever category you fall in, it isn’t enough to press publish”. Your ability to take your content from ideation to publication is a plus. However, you need more than just that to thrive.
Market
Content creators are like any other professional. Yes, the joke is on you. This is because, many brands are now patronizing creators and brand influencers to put their brands on the top shelves. You definitely need to be creative, digitally savvy, a sales person, and a digital marketer to survive in this space, unless you’re just having fun. Funny enough, the ones who are just having fun are the most sought after.
Create
The first stage of content marketing is to create unique content. After editing and adding some creativity to your content, you then post and get reactions. What you need to do is to start creating. You just need to go through the various processes of content creation by observing, planning, co-creating, finding the right digital tools, finding your niche, amongst others. Mind you, these may take some time for you to grasp. However, if you’re a fast learner. It should take you days or some weeks.
Repeat
Create, share, market and create again. It’s an unending cycle. Just know what you are doing, have fun, and accept feedback. With every mistake, challenge, and trending content you create, you begin to have more reason to keep going. Once there is passion and drive, we are unstoppable. Be ready to disrupt, rebuild and to be innovative. These qualities will take you far.
